Sweet Rose
$180.00

Roses symbolize love, royalty, beauty, sensuality, secrecy, and mysticism. They are also associated with achievement and perfection. I chose graphite for this work in order to enhance the beauty of the details, the inner workings of the flower’s center, the lines in each petal, the moodiness of light as it envelops the subject. This sensual beauty will infuse your home with an air of love and mystery.

Is There a Bird in There?
$180.00

Everytime I draw a birdhouse, I have a friend that asks, “Is there a bird in there?” This is a tribute to her. Birdhouses are a treasured part of my garden. They invite contemplation as I reflect on the life nature surrounds us with. They bravely withstands the landscape in all seasons.

A cozy gathering of pumpkins and gourds, autumnal, earthy, and grounded, this elegant graphite drawing captures the natural beauty of the harvest season. Harvest is a time to be thankful for the bounty and for those who grow, nurture and harvest our life sustenance.

A new place to find my work…

Merchants on the Corner

394 Main St. Presque Isle, Maine 04769

If you find yourself in downtown Presque Isle, Maine (my hometown), you can find some of my work displayed in a quaint little shop on the corner of Academy and Main Street called “Merchants on the Corner.” It is a fun, eclectic shop with a hometown, artsy, crafty vibe. I’m honored to be invited to have my work in this space and to share my work with a community that I love.

Here you will find a sampling of all of my work including watercolors, pencil drawings, and even some of my craft work and beading.

I will be updating my website soon with my non-painting/drawing artwork. Stay tuned to see what an artist does when they need a from their everyday art routine, but still want to create.

You can find Merchants on the Corner on Facebook here.

Welcome to my studio.

A woman with short dark hair, glasses, and a green long-sleeve shirt poses with her face resting on her hand, leaning on a tree with smooth, peeling bark and branches surrounding her, outdoors in a park on a sunny day.

A place where paintbrushes, pencils, paper and petals live.

Thanks for popping in to see me. How blessed I am that you found me, the proverbial needle in a haystack; one artist in a sea of artists on the world wide web. Do you love flowers, nature, gardens and art as much as I do? We are kindred spirits.

I paint and draw flowers and landscapes (that usually include plants of some kind). Nothing makes me happier. Nature is so good for the soul.

Who am I? In a nutshell, I’m a creative, peace loving soul, an artist and a nature lover.

Where am I? Physically, I live and work in my Northern Maine studio (North Eastern United States). You can find me there most days. Online, I am here (which is kind of everywhere philosophically). You can also find me on Facebook and Instagram. Soon, hopefully, I will be on Pinterest, as well. (I love Pinterest, the land of beautiful things!)

I love bringing nature indoors for you to enjoy all year around, no matter the season.
